Undisputed: The Rise of a New Era in Boxing Video Games

Undisputed, previously known as ESBC Boxing Club, is the latest video game release in the boxing genre. The game has been eagerly awaited as it marks the revival of a genre that has been dormant since EA Sports’ Fight Night Champion in 2011. Boxing games have a rich history, ranging from Punch-Out!! on the NES to the latest EA Sports Fight Night series. However, with the rise of MMA and UFC games, boxing games fell out of favor with players.

Undisputed has already received high praise for its in-ring visuals, with boxers looking and moving like their real-life counterparts. The game also features unique touches, like reigning heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk getting damage bonuses when attacking from an angle, making the game feel like an individual style. The fighters’ movements are also great, but there are still some kinks to be worked out in terms of responsiveness during combos and the feeling of punches.

The game features a roster of 50 real-life boxers, past and present, which is the same number as Fight Night Champion. The game currently allows players to participate in fights against the computer and other players online, as well as in classic real-life fights through the “Prize Fights” mode. A career mode and create-a-boxer feature will be added in the future.

Undisputed is available for early access on Steam for $29.99. Players can purchase the game and start participating in exciting matches in the boxing ring. With its impressive roster, visually stunning in-ring action, and potential for even more features in the future, Undisputed is sure to be a hit with boxing fans and gamers alike.
